Friends of KPP

Friends of Kaw Point Park works to preserve the historic, cultural, and environmental legacy of Kaw Point.

Friends of Kaw Point Park, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 organization established in 2006. The mission of Friends of Kaw Point Park is to fund and construct the Lewis and Clark Historic Park at Kaw Point; to preserve the historical significance of the Lewis and Clark Expedition in Wyandotte County; to interpret the historic, cultural and environmental past of the park; to support the park and community through special events, educational programming, fundraising, site clean up, trail enhancement, environmental conservation and stewardship; and to provide educational programing that promotes water quality and habitat protection of both the Kansas and Missouri River watersheds. The organization is funded by donations and grants.
